Children are expected to read at home 4 times per week and this should be recorded in their reading diaries which should also be signed by an adult.
Reading Plus should be accessed at home as part of their reading homework.
Reading diaries need to be handed in each Wednesday to be checked.
Each half term, children will receive a cover sheet with all of the homework that needs to be completed.
Each week, children should choose one homework activity from the cover sheet to complete. Homework activities will link to our current learning challenge.
Activities can be completed in any order. Just tick and date them once completed.
A separate sheet will also be provided with the spellings that need to be learned each week. Spellings are taken from the statutory spelling list for Year 3 and 4.
For maths, we are asking that the children go onto TTrockstars at least twice a week.
This half term, Class 5 will have their PE sessions on Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
Please ensure your child has a full kit, labelled with their names, in school at all times.
During the winter months, children will need an outdoor PE kit as PE sessions will take outside on Wednesday afternoons.

Joe Wicks will be streaming PE lessons on his Youtube channel for children (and adults can join in too!) every weekday morning starting Monday 23rd March at 9am.
What better way to start your day?
Starting Monday 23rd March, Gareth Metcalfe, a leading practitioner in primary mathematics education, will be posting daily lessons (Monday-Friday) to aid your child with their learning of mathematics whilst at home.
This is not compulsory, but may help those children and parents who are struggling for ideas, or need someone to talk them through the steps of more complex mathematics.
At 9am each morning, a video will be posted on his blog: http://www.iseemaths.com/home-lessons/
Please watch this video, where Gareth will introduce himself and you can find out about what these lessons will entail.
This morning, class 5 had the opportunity to take part in a My Money Sense Workshop alongside a volunteer from Natwest bank. In groups, they had to solve the task of planning and costing a birthday party whilst sticking to a strict budget.
They had to decide what food to serve, where to have their party, what entertainment they would have as well as planning and budgeting for extras such as paper plates, cutlery and party bags.
The maths skills used during the session were fantastic and all of the children really enjoyed working as a team to complete their task.
We have been reading The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe as part of our English curriculum over the past few weeks.
We went outside into our very own ‘forest’ to imagine how Lucy would feel.
We had great fun dancing like ballerinas to find different words to describe how a snowflake falls!
