One of the best ways to get to know a school is to visit. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions we are unable to host visits around the school at this current time.
We are however delighted to be able to share with you a virtual tour of the school’s early years provision where our Reception children are based.
A very warm welcome awaits your child/ren at Carr Mill Primary where they can foster their love of learning in a warm, friendly setting.
We hope the tour gives you some insight into life at Carr Mill and the fun that awaits your child/ren. If you are looking at September 2020 entry, please do get in touch with the school office as soon as possible.
The warmest of welcomes to anyone looking to join #teamcarrmill.

The curriculum at Carr Mill is broad and balanced. All children, regardless of starting point, are immersed into …
The early years learning is completely initiated by the children’s interests. The teachers will then build in knowledge, activities and challenges through each exciting topic.
We at Carr Mill believe that open communication with our families is vital for the running of a good school and so we have two apps to do this through.
The school’s letters, newsletters and messages will be sent out regularly to you from the office through Parent Apps. This amazing app helps you to fill out consent forms and gain information needed instantly and has helped us become extremely efficient.
In class, children’s homework and reading records are sent through Seesaw. An extremely easy app for the children to access their home learning and are able to message their teachers easily if help is needed in any way. Parents have raved about how seesaw have revolutionised the way we work.
“The Early Years team work closely with parents and other providers to ensure that ALL children have the best start they can at Carr Mill.”
