Make a shoebox creature (any box will do). Add eyes, ears, legs, arms, teeth – decorate how you want with what you have available. Make a mouth so that you can feed your box creature. Get some blocks or counters or lego and put them in a basket/box. Next use some number cards or draw some numbers on to paper. Shuffle them and place them in a pile. Take a card and feed you monster the correct amount of pieces. Feed your box monster every day. Keep a record of how many objects he eats each day.
Don’t forget to give your box monster a name!
The whole school project for the family this week is all about the NHS. Have a look at the document to see what you want to choose to do.
Suggestion for younger children you could have a go at drawing a nurse or doctor.
