Begin with dancing and singing to the go noodle hello song.
Play the listening game.
Have you got some instruments in your house? Maybe you have got some toys that make sounds e.g. A fire truck or a police car. (Or you can put some little stones, spoonful of rice into a container it depends what you have available). Gather some of these toys or instruments and put them on the table or on the floor. Cover them up with a blanket. Take turns to choose a toy or instrument to make a sound and the other person has to listen carefully to work out which one it was. Repeat. Have fun listening!
You could even make your own instruments!
Physical / Maths
This game is best played in a garden or in a big space and can be played with more than one child if you have enough equipment. You need some number cards 1-5 or cards 1-5 from a playing card set. Put a ball at one end of the garden and the cards at the other end (it may be best for an adult to hold them especially if it’s windy!). The player needs to run to the other end of the garden, take a card e.g. 5 say the number out loud and then run back to the ball and complete either 5 throws and catches, keepie uppies, bounce and catches, basketball taps it’s up to you to choose. Once you have completed the number you put the ball down and run back for another card. Repeat until you have completed all the cards in your pile.
If you haven’t got space or equipment to play the game join in singing with the ‘Counting from 1 to 10’ song from the BBC.
