Enjoy listening to the story.
Which is your favourite animal? Why? Find out about what your family’s favourite animals are. (Ring other relatives to find out, if you can)
Make your own Dear Zoo book, you can make flaps or pop up sections. See how adventurous you feel.
You need number cards/plates or paper with numbers written on and a selection or different animals e.g. Farm animals, zoo animals, birds, insects and people. (You can draw them if you haven’t got any)
Put the plates out with a mixture of toys / pictures.
Count the legs and put the toy onto the correct number plate. Repeat until you have used all the toys.
You could use toy cars, bikes, lorries and trains and count the wheels instead.
(Alternatively, you can put the correct number of toys or lego bricks onto each number card)
