Hi everyone, we hope you had a lovely Easter Break and the Easter Bunny came. We have had some lovely weather so we hope you have been able to get out and spot signs of spring in your gardens or around your local area.
You will have received information about a new learning platform we are using called Seesaw. This gives you the opportunities to share your learning or anything you are doing at home. Mrs. Taylor and Miss. Prendergast can then reply back to you about anything that you share. The Home Learning we set on here will also be uploaded on the Seesaw app. We look forward to seeing what you have been up to.
As we start our new week, let’s start with the daily Joe Wicks session. Log on to Youtube to join him live at 9am.
Literacy – In school we use something called ‘Talk for Writing’ where the children act out and orally retell a story. They have brought out a free Home-school booklet. Unfortunately we can’t upload to our site but here is the link for you to have a look at: http://mailchi.mp/talk4writing/home-school-booklets
If you click on Reception unit, it is all about a cat called Mavis. There are lots of activities, so we will set you some each day to complete.
The first part is a talking activity (page 6). Who are the characters in the story? What objects are in the story?
The next one is a matching activity. (page 7) Which word matches the picture? You could record your answers on see saw.
Maths – Can you roll a dice, form the number and make it. You can use any objects in your house?
