In Class 9 over the last 3 weeks we have been studying Macbeth by William Shakespeare. The children have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the characters in the story and examining the plot to decide who was truly responsible for killing King Duncan. They have created monologues in the style of their chosen character, written newspaper reports and narratives, performed raps in groups and recorded their own vlogs about a particular aspect of the plot. We all had so much fun on Friday (16th March) when we dressed up as a character from Macbeth for a day focussed upon visual literacy.
On the 23rd March we celebrated the work completed in classes during our Arts and Culture Shakespeare Family Assembly. Parents and carers were invited back to class to sample our Macbeth potions! They evaluated the fruit smoothies that class 9 created and had the opportunity to look at all our work.
