Change Bag
Every child must bring a bag containing spare clothes to nursery every day. Don’t forget to include socks, underwear, trousers/skirt and t-shirt.
Children must also have a waterproof coat, hat/sunhat and wear appropriate footwear (no crocs/sandals) as we play outside every day in all weathers.
Snack
Every day we offer children a healthy snack and a drink of milk. We ask for a contribution of £1.00 a week. Payable weekly or half termly.
Children who stay all day must bring a healthy packed lunch. Please chop small fruit such as grapes and avoid including fizzy drinks.
Home Learning
Please support your child with their learning at home. Please read stories everyday and complete and return home school diary tasks on time.
Now we have See saw up and running, all activities will now be posted on there. If you are having any problems logging on then please email school and we will contact you to provide support.
Many thanks,
Mrs Williams and Miss Campbell.

This Week we have been celebrating Chinese New Year! We have made our own drums, Chinese dragons, lucky red envelopes and lanterns. We have also practised using chop sticks and have had fun dressing up in new Chinese clothing. We turned our role play area into a Chinese new year house and practiced cooking rice and noodles. We read lots of stories about Chinese New year especially about the Chinese Zodiac animals. It has been lots of fun!
Please click on the image to expand the photograph so that you can see the full class!
We have been having lots of fun in nursery exploring on, in and under and speaking in full sentences. We have looked at Why its important to wash our hands and have looked at the changes in the season. We have been focusing on our shapes and developing our fine motor skills.
Look at our Firework pictures that we have created on the IPADs.
We learnt how to put on our waterproofs and wellington boots. Then we jumped in the puddles to make big splashes. Last of all we mixed some powder paint into the puddles to find out what would happen.
We have been looking at the changes in the seasons and what happens when it is Autumn. We have collected Autumn objects and had a walk in the school wooded area. We looked for animals and their habitats.
This morning we had a visit from the Chester Zoo Rangers who came to talk to us about birds. We looked at what animals need to be classed as a bird, we felt feathers and listened to the different sounds that birds make.
Watch our video about how smart we are!
Look what Peter Rabbit has been doing during the holidays! We can’t wait to hear what you have been up to when you come to Nursery in September!
Abigail found a blackbird’s nest in her garden. Her family have been watching the baby birds hatch and grow and have kindly shared photos and videos with us at nursery so that all the other children can enjoy it.
The images are below to share with your children. What do the baby birds look like? Are they changing? what is happening to them?
Happy bird watching!
Watch the video below to see what nursery did during the Shakespeare Festival.
Last week, the children in nursery were problem solving. We thought about how the gingerbread men were hiding from the fox. They couldn’t cross Carr Mill Dam because they would get soggy! They knew they couldn’t trust Mr Fox because he would eat them up. The morning children decided to make a boat for the Gingerbread man and the afternoon children thought they would make a trap to capture Mr Fox, so he couldn’t eat them.
