Beech Class 13.02.26
Date: 10th Feb 2026 @ 2:44pm
This week has been so exciting in Beech Class...we discovered a gigantic egg in the wooded area in school! We found clues in the corridors about something strange being outside so we thought we would investigate. We had lots of ideas about what could be inside the egg and where it had come from. We wrote some beautiful pieces of writing about our exciting time.
In maths we have continued with our topic about fractions and we have enjoyed using counters when finding half of an amount. In science we have started a new unit of work about 'Our Incredible Body' and we used Amber to label our body parts on Monday! We also explored our senses and the children really enjoyed smelling different strong smells and tasting different foods to see if they were bitter, sour, sweet, salty or savoury.
It has also been Children's Mental Health Week in school. We have completed lots of lovely activities about this and on Wednesday we visited Sycamore class and gave them a decorated biscuit on a decorated plate with a lovely message on for them.
Our VIP this week was awarded for science and this was given to Amber. Well done!
