PE

Our vision at Carr Mill is to inspire and motivate children to have a love for P.E and understand the benefits of being happy, healthy and safe,

Children will be able to experience a wide range of inclusive activities to allow them to explore and develop a range of knowledge and skills including creativity, problem solving, resilience and optimum performance.

PE at Carr Mill is taught by class teachers and our wonderful sports' coach Olivia Jolley from ED start. We offer a wide range of sports clubs and physical activities around the school day and outside of PE lessons such as Football Fun days/ Sports day/ competitions.

My name is Miss. Prendergast  and I am the Physical Education subject lead at Carr Mill Primary school. Firstly, I am passionate about P.E as since an early age sport has always been my passion. This has involved playing different sports, then leading into coaching different sports such as netball and swimming.

My vision alongside Coach Olivia at Carr Mill is to inspire and motivate children to have a love for P.E, participating in a wide range of inclusive activities to allow them to explore and develop a range of knowledge and skills including creativity, problem solving, team work  and resileince. We create bespoke planning to cater for our mixed age classes , allowing children to partcipate in a variety of activities such as jet tag, archery and dodgeball to name a few. This year we have added a fitness unit as part of our curriculum which includes the importance of keeping active. Please see our long term plan to look at the variety we have on offer.
