Beech Class, Wk 2, 02.05.25
Date: 29th Apr 2025 @ 11:56am
This week in Beech class we started a new geography topic - Magical Mapping! The children created their own sketch maps using a key to identify specific places of interest. They have explored different types of maps and planned routes around our local area. Once the children had planned a route, they presented how to follow it to the class.
In English we have continued with our book 'Owl Babies'. We have written some brilliant pieces in our Star Write books retelling the story using descriptive language.
In maths we have focussed on addition and subtraction again this week extending our learning to using 2-digit numbers.
Computing lessons were lots of fun this week when we used our code to program the BeeBots and make them move in a particular direction.
We had a whole school party on Friday afternoon because we beat our whole school attendance target of 96% last week. We had lots of fun, games and dancing to finish our week in school!
Our VIP this week was for showing great skills in computing and this awarded to Aziz for successfully creating code using the repeat block to make loops.
Next week we have a red, white and blue day on Thursday to celebrate VE day so come to school dressed in those colours. Remember it is bank holiday on Monday so enjoy a relaxing day at home.
