Beech Class, wk 4, 16.05.25
Date: 12th May 2025 @ 11:28am
This week in Beech Class has been lots of fun - we have been painting pictures of The Great Fire of London! We completed lots of work using paints, pastels, crayons and charcoal before creating our final pieces, looking at the artist Jan Griffier.
We have continued with our science topic of 'Plants' and this week we talked about what a 'fair test' is. We carried out an investigation to see what plants need to help them to grown and we put some of our planted seeds in a cold room in school and some in a warmer place on the windowsill. We will keep checking our seeds to see if they have started to grow at different temperatures!
In English we have been looking at lots of grammar and punctuation using the topic of the seaside. We played lots of games such as 'contraction matching'. In maths we have continued with addition and mental strategies and we have also moved onto multiplication and division.
VIP this week was awarded for art. Well done to Maisie who created a wonderful background for her Great Fire of London artwork. Well done!
