Chestnut Class Week 3

Date: 20th Jun 2025 @ 11:50am

This week we have been enjoying lots of new activities out on the playground as part of our OPAL project. Make sure you check the school Facebook page for updates on pictures on our OPAL journey.

This week in class we have been busy doing quizzes (end of year assessments). The children have worked so hard to show us all of the things that they have learned over the year.

In computing lessons the children combined thier skills using images and text to write about The Great Fire of London using the app Pic Collage.

This week, we also had a special Road Safety talk and learnt all about how to be safe on our roads as a pedestrian and as a passenger in a car.

Last week, we completed our Great Fire of London topic. We now know lots of information about the fire including where it started, why it spread so far and so quickly and how long the fire burnt for. The children have really enjoyed this history topic and have produced some wonderful pieces of writing about it in their English lessons.

Next week, we hope to complete our Colour Run. Please ensure that your child comes to school with everything they need for the run. Check the school Facebook page regularly for updates. If you need more information, please ask a member of staff in class.
