Chestnut Class Week 4
Date: 30th Jun 2025 @ 10:21pm
We have had such an amazing week. The highlight was most definitely the Colour Run on Friday.
If you haven't already, then have a look at the lovely photos on the school Facebook page which perfectly capture the joy and excitement of the children at #teamcarrmill
There was also lots of learning happening during the week.
We learnt all about Special places for different religions in our R.E. sessions.
Year 1 started a new maths topic: Place Value to 100, whilst Reception learnt the days of the week and used vocabularly such as Now, Next and Later. We will continue this learning into next week too.
In English, Year 1 wrote their own diary entry for the night the Greeat Fire of London started and they drew upon all of their knowledge from History sessions and their reading in English sessions.
This week we were also really lucky as we were invited to watch Beech's class assembly which was amazing and the children really enjoyed it.
Coming up next week:
The children in KS1 will be watching a Rock Steady concent in the school hall on Monday.
The children will be designing and making moving vehicles in D.T. sessions.
