ROWAN - Week 6 SPRING 1

Date: 3rd Apr 2025 @ 9:55am

Welcome back to our final blog of Spring 2!

This week we have been finding out information in reading about the Galapagos Islands ready for when we come back after half term as this is what we are going to be focusing on in reading and writing!

In our writing this week, we have been really focusing on key SPAG concepts whether that be looking at editing our work or focusing on our use of the correct homophones and punctuation.

In Maths this week, we have finished our statistic topic and focused on arithmetic and division and multiplication. This has been really helpful as it has really helped consolidate our knowledge and build up our confidence!

We have enjoyed continuing our Science topic on evolution and inheritance and found it very interesting as to why giraffes have longer necks. We also created some beautiful fact files using secondary sources on Charles Darwin – it has inspired a few of us to think about careers as a biologist!

Finally we have enjoyed the Easter raffle today and celebrated Logan who won VIP this week for Science – well done Logan!

Also a big thanks to Miss Kenyon for coming up with a great idea to help as we are running out of glue sticks at the end of term!!! She has made us some sticky boxes!!!😂

Have a lovely half term and hopefully we will be able to enjoy the sun before being ready for Summer term! 😊
