Willow - Spring 2, Week 5
Date: 28th Mar 2025 @ 3:50pm
This week, we have began our new science topic, all about light and shadows.
We have been able to identify light sources and were able to explain why the moon is not a light source (it just reflects light from the sun). The children were fascinated with this and had a lot of questions, particularly about space. It was lovely to see them all so excited about their learning. We created an experiment using different materials to test how reflective they were and talked about the importance of keeping ourselves safe in the sun.
We will continue with this science topic next week!
In maths, we have been learning about length and perimeter. Next week, we will be looking at mass and capacity.
In PE this week, we were perfeting our forward rolls - really trying to make sure that our chins and knees were tucked in tightly. It was tricky, but we didn't give up!
We have won the attendance challenge twice this week! On Tuesday, we enjoyed some chocolate lollies and on Wednesday we won a kids' choice session. The children chose to colour whilst watching something on the board.
Next week is our final week of the spring term and our last chance to win some more attendance prizes! Can we do it!?
