Welcome to #teamcarrmill

We are so very pleased that your child will be coming to join our Reception Class in September 2026. We are very excited to welcome you to Carr Mill Primary School and would like to thank you for choosing us to shape your child’s future.

Starting school is a huge step not only for your child, but for you as parents too! At Carr Mill Primary School, we want all of our new families to be happy and comfortable with their next big chapter, therefore have a thorough transition process to support your child to settle quickly and get off to the best possible start.

September 2026

#teamcarrmill return to school in September for the Autumn Term on Wednesday 2/9/26. Our Reception class build up their time spent in school across the first week to ensure a smooth transition to school.

 *A detailed overview of your child's individualised September transition, including arrival and pick up times, will be provided when you attend the EYFS meeting.

We recognise that some children may find their first weeks of school harder than others. If we feel that your child would benefit from an extended gradual transition, we will arrange this with you on an individual basis.
