KS2 trip to the Liverpool Philharmonic

Lesson: Music

On Wednesday 16/3/22, at last, after more than 2 long years, we had the opportunity to inspire our children’s minds even further with a school fully funded trip to the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra for all of our Key Stage 2 children.

The children got to experience the live orchestra, led by conductor Rebecca Tong,  play music with the theme of Migration – exploring Britain’s transatlantic slave trade, the migration of early humans, and the discovery of the New World. If you scan the QR code attached you can find out more about the concert the children attended and listen to recordings of some of pieces that the children heard

The children absolutely loved it and were beaming from ear to ear, buzzing with excitement when they returned. It was amazing to finally be able to get the children out into the world to learn and to enjoy this incredible cultural, memory making experience!

Our KS1 children can't wait to experience the Philharmonic too - they will be visiting in June.
