Beech Class 06.03.26

Date: 7th Mar 2026 @ 5:48pm

We have had a wonderful second week to the half term in Beech Class.

In English we have finished our unit of work about Mr Bunny's Chocolate Factory with some excellent writing in role as Jane the Chicken.

Addition and subtraction has been the focus of our maths lessons this week with some strategies to develop our efficiency in solving calcuations.

Science lessons this week have been lots of fun too. We investigated which exercises would raise our heart rate the most and also carried out an experiment to prove why soap is effective when getting rid of germs. The children worked in groups to produce an educational video about how to be hygenic and had a range of ideas to do this.

On Tuesday we had a brilliant live assembly from the school's library service on the internet. The lady told us all about World Book Day and showed us some of the books we could get free with our tokens.

On Thursday we had such an exciting day...World Book Day!! Everyone's costumes were amazing and we all got into the spirit of being our chosen book characters.

VIP this week was awarded for reading and it was given to Evie who has been showing great effort to retrieve answers from the text in Star Skills lessons. Well done!
