Beech Class 27.03.26

Date: 24th Mar 2026 @ 1:24pm

The final week of the half term has been a wonderful one in Beech Class.

We have had a visit from Liverpool Museum - they came into school and delivered a Titanic storytelling workshop which the children thoroughly enjoyed. We finished our topic about the Titanic this week too in class and the children have remembered lots of key facts about the disaster.

On Thursday we visited the library which is now next door to school. We had a look around at all the books, found out how to become a member and listened to a story in this wonderful setting. The children are really keen to go again and it is open to families so you might want to pop in over the Easter break.

In maths we have finished our unit of work about addition and subtraction and we have also learnt all about weight and mass this week.

In English we finished our work around the Tempest with a wonderful piece of writing about a ship in a storm just like in the play.

Today we had our Easter bonnet parade. All children who brought a bonnet in were given 10 house points in Beech Class. There were some outstanding creations - thank you to everyone who took part in the competition.

The winner in Beech Class was Zosia and the runner up was Aurora. Congratulations!

VIP this week was awarded for computing and the winner was George. Well done!

Happy Easter break everyone! Have a restful but exciting time off.
