Chestnut Week 4

This week we have had a lovely week. 

On Tuesday afternoon, we welcomed parents into class to see how we learn to read in Reception and Year 1.

We have been reading the story 'Star in the Jar' and have produced some lovely pieces of writing about the story in our English sessions. 

In Maths, Reception have been learning how to 'Match, sort and compare', whilst Year 1 have been learning about Place Value and numbers to 10. 

In R.E., we have been learning about Hinduism and we have learnt about the meaning of 'devotion'.

This week, we have started our topic about 'Materials'. 

On Friday, we enjoyed lots of delicious cakes as part of the Macmillan Coffee Morning.
