Chestnut Week 4

This week in Chesntut class we have been winners 3 times. We have been busy winning prizes in the EGGCELLENT ATTENDANCE competition. The prizes have included Easter colouring, an extra playtime and making chocolate nests - we look forward to making those before we finish for Easter.

In English we read 'Supertato'. The children loved following clues to find the hidden vegetables around school that Evil Pea had trapped.

In Maths, all children have been learning about length and height.

In D.T this week, the children designed, made and evaluated 'fun fruit kebabs'. They learnt about the importance of good hygiene when handling food and also some techniques to allow them to cut different foods safely. 

Our Computing lessons this week were linked to our D.T. topic. The children carried out a survey to find out the favourite fruits of their classmates and presented their results in an online pictogram.

Next week, the attendance competition continues to run and more prizes are up for grabs for EGGCELLENT class ATTENDANCE.
