Chestnut Week 5

Our final week of this half term has been Sports Week. On Thursday Chestnut Class and the rest of EYFS and KS1 had their sports day and they were fantastic team players. 

This week, we have also been learning about Communities in PSHE. We have been discussing what it means to be responsible and how to take care of our environment. 

In Maths, we have completed our Fractions topic in Year 1, whilst Reception have been Grouping and Sharing. We have been learning to identify equal and unequal groups.

In English, we have been writing postcards about a trip to Blackpool seaside. The children had some brilliant ideas and produced some lovely pieces of writing. 

Next half term, we will be starting our new history topic, The Great Fire of London.
