Birch: Autumn 2 Week 4

Date: 27th Nov 2025 @ 12:00pm

This week has been an exciting week in Birch class. We have finished our history topic all about changes in living memory. We have really enjoyed our learning about the 60's and celebrated all that we had found out with a 60's afternoon. We went into the hall and danced to 60's music and then came back to class and watched TV shows, such as 'The Magic Roundabout', and ate some 60's party food! Our classroom smelt like pickles when we returned from the party in the hall!

In English we have continued to work on Meerkat Mail, planning sentences that we could use to describe Sunny's visit to Carr Mill.

In maths we have completed our work on place value, thinking about skip counting in 3's and comparing and ordering numbers up to 100.

On Thursday we used the IPAD's to create a Pic Collage to show images from the past and present that we had found on Google.

Next week we will be stated our Christmas celebrations! In class we will be learning our songs and parts for the nativity (any help at home with this is greatly appreciated!). We will also be looking at 'Jesus' in our RE topic.
