Birch: Spring 2- Week 3

This week we have had a wonderful week in Birch class. We had the most exciting day on Tuesday at Blackpool Zoo. We really enjoyed seeing the animals and learning more about their habitats and diets.

In English and History, we have been learning about castles, kings and queens. We have produced some beautiful non-chronological reports all about castles and their uses as well as finding out about kings and queens from the past and present. 

Maths has been all about position and direction this week. We are now experts in giving directions using language such as 'forwards, backwards, left right, quarter turn and half turn'. We have really enjoyed giving instructions to a partner and playing the 'Robot Game' in class. Next week we will be getting our weighing scales out as we learning about 'weight and mass'.

We have also enjoyed kids’ choice AGAIN this afternoon for our fabulous attendance last week.

We have had some exciting news about attendance in assembly today. We have a two-week challenge to complete were the class with the highest attendance each day will earn a prize. We are hoping for some lovely treats!

Next week is DT week. We will be designing, tasting and creating fruit kebabs.
