Birch:Week 5 Autumn 2
Date: 5th Dec 2025 @ 9:33am
Wow, our autumn term is going very quickly!
We have had another very busy week this week. On Tuesday IceCat visited us to talk about how to stay safe. They taught us some silent signals and we practised a 'hedgehog' technique and some breathing exercises.
It has been assessment week this week, so we have been busy completing some 'quizzes' in class. We have all tried our best and Mrs Barton and Mrs Wilson-Briars are extremely proud.
In maths, we have started to look at multiplication. We now know that when we multiply a number we are carrying out 'repeated addition'.
In the afternoons we have completed an RE topic all about Christianity. We talked about how Christians believe that Jesus is the light of the world and thought about how we can be 'the light' in other people's lives.
On Friday we ended our week with a very exciting live assembly all the way from Antarctica. We learnt a lot about the climate in Antarctica and what we can do to preserve it. This was very interesting after completing our hot and cold geography topic in autumn 1.
Next week we will be continuing to practise our nativity, please make sure that you are practicing your lines at home too! We will also be completing a D &T project were we will be making Christmas puppets.
