A New Story Adventure 📚

This week we’ve launched into a brand-new class text, The Lost Happy Endings by Carol Ann Duffy, and it’s already proving to be a big hit. The children have been completely captivated by the magical storyline and rich language, leading to some fantastic discussions and thoughtful predictions. It’s a story that really sparks the imagination and we’re looking forward to exploring it further through reading, writing, and creative activities.

Maths Matters

In Maths, we’ve been rolling up our sleeves and getting stuck into Decimals and Percentages. The children have been working hard to build confidence in understanding how these link to fractions and how they appear in everyday life.

Bonjour! 🇫🇷

Our French lessons have focused on Daily Routines, with the children learning how to talk about their day — from getting up in the morning to bedtime. They’ve enjoyed practising new vocabulary and phrases and it’s been lovely to hear them having a go at speaking with growing confidence.

Exploring the World 🌍

In Geography, we’ve begun an exciting unit on Jungles and Deserts. So far, we’ve been learning about biomes and climates, comparing different environments around the world and thinking about what makes each one unique. The children have asked some brilliant questions and are clearly curious to learn more about how people, plants, and animals survive in these extreme places.

It’s been a fantastic first week back, and we’re really proud of how positively the children have settled straight back into learning. Thank you, as always, for your continued support — we’re looking forward to a fun-filled and productive term ahead!
