SYCAMORE WEEK 5 BLOG

Date: 6th Feb 2026 @ 3:38pm

We’ve had a busy and exciting week in class, and the children have been doing a fantastic job across all areas of learning.

In Maths, we are starting a brand-new topic on multiplication and division. The children have been introduced to sharing, grouping, and making equal groups and they have shown great enthusiasm and focus as they begin to develop these important skills.

In Reading, we are continuing our class text, Kesnuke Kingdom. The children are really enjoying the story and have been engaging well in discussions, making predictions and exploring new vocabulary.

In RE, we have been refocusing on Islam, revisiting key ideas and building on the children’s understanding through thoughtful discussion and reflection.

In PE, the children have been taking part in orienteering activities as well as gymnastics. They have worked brilliantly as teams, followed instructions carefully and shown excellent effort and coordination.

We also want to say a huge well done to the children for their amazing class assembly this week. They were confident, enthusiastic, and truly fantastic — we are incredibly proud of them!

Looking ahead, next week is Mental Health Week. We will be taking part in a range of activities focused on wellbeing, mindfulness and understanding emotions, helping the children to develop positive strategies for looking after their mental health.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
