Birch Class - 16.01.2026

Date: 20th Jan 2026 @ 2:03pm

We have had another super week in Birch Class!

We started the week with Maths Week, with the children recognising coins, counting amounts and solving simple money problems.

On Tuesday, we had a brilliant time on our school trip to Imagine That. During the trip, the children took part in lots of exciting hands-on activities. We explored the science and water areas, completed science experiments and created our own slime and snow. Everyone had lots of fun!

In English, we have been focusing on writing sentences using capital letters, full stops and exclamation marks, linking back to our story Jack and the Beanstalk. The children enjoyed adding excitement and expression to their writing.

In PE this week, the children have been creating their own gymnastics routines. They explored different ways to travel, balance, and roll. The children showed great control, confidence, and creativity during their performances.

We have continued our Geography topic, Let’s Explore the UK and looked at the differences between the town and the countryside.

This week’s VIP winner for Maths in Birch Class was Olivia, for her great understanding of money and her ability to solve money problems. Well done!
