What a fantastic week we have had in Birch Class!

In English, we have planned and written a retelling of The Bog Baby. The children have thoroughly enjoyed exploring this story and have produced some wonderful writing inspired by the book.

In Maths, we completed our unit on fractions and started our new unit on mass, volume and capacity.

As part of our Science topic, Amazing Animals, we continued learning about different animal diets and explored which animals are carnivores, herbivores and omnivores.

In Music, we began our new unit, Inventing a Musical Story. The children enjoyed using instruments to accompany their performances.

In PE, we have been practising for Sports Day and developing our running, throwing and teamwork skills. The children have shown great enthusiasm and determination during the activities.

This week's VIP award was presented for excellent work in PSHE and was awarded to Annie-Rae. Well done!
