Birch Class - 23.01.26

We have had another great week of learning in Birch Class. 

In English, we have completed our Star Write, retelling the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. The children have tried very hard with their handwriting and using punctuation in their writing. 

In Maths this week, we have started a new unit of work looking at shape. We have been identifying the properties of 2D and 3D shapes, including the number of sides and vertices. The children have also been using mathematical vocabulary to describe their features. 

In PE, we have continued working on our gymnastic routines, practising our movements and sequences. 

During Geography, we have completed our work about the UK this week. We have had good fun finding human and physical features of London and learning about St Helens. 

VIP was awarded for Geography and was given to River for a fantastic understanding of the UK. Well done!
