Welcome back to the new half term! It has been wonderful to see the children return to Birch Class!

In English, we have continued exploring our class text, The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch. The children have been producing some fantastic pieces of writing inspired by the story and have worked hard to develop their ideas and vocabulary.

In Maths, we have continued our learning and have begun an exciting new topic on money. The children have enjoyed recognising coins and notes and using their knowledge to solve practical problems.

In Art, we have started our new topic on Tribal Art. The children have begun exploring different styles, patterns and techniques, and have enjoyed expressing their creativity through their work. 

This week's Writing Champions award was presented to River and Hope for their outstanding effort in writing. Well done!
