Birch Class - 13.02.26

Date: 12th Feb 2026 @ 7:42am

It has been another brilliant week in Birch Class!

This week, we discovered an egg in our woodland area, which sparked lots of excitement and curiosity. In English the children have written some fantastic pieces of work inspired by this discovery.

In Maths, we have continued learning about fractions, with a focus on recognising and understanding halves.

During Computing, we have continued using Chrome Music Lab, exploring pitch, tempo and duration to create simple musical patterns.

We have also started a new Science unit called 'My Incredible Body'. As part of this learning, the children had the opportunity to taste and smell a variety of different items, helping them to explore their senses.

It has also been Children's Mental Health Week in school. We have completed lots of lovely activities about this and on Wednesday we visited Larch class and gave them a decorated bookmarks.

Our VIP of the Week was awarded for Science and went to Emilia. Well done!

We hope everyone has a wonderful and well-deserved half term break, and we look forward to welcoming the children back on Tuesday 24th February 2026.
