It has been another busy week in Birch Class! 

In Maths, we have been focusing on addition and subtraction with two-digit numbers. 

We have started a new book in English, The Tempest. We began by making predictions about the story based on the front cover and then we explored the characters in more detail. 

In Computing, we discussed the importance of staying safe online and why it is essential to tell a trusted adult if something doesn’t feel right. 

On Wednesday, we started our Art topic, exploring the work of the artist J.M.W. Turner. We experimented with colours, including primary colours, and practiced sketching boats. We finished the week by creating a digital piece of a boat, with a wonderful weave design to represent The Tempest. 

This week’s VIP winner for Art in Birch Class was Theo H, for their brilliant, detailed sketch of a boat. Well done!
