Birch: Week 6, Autumn 2

This week has been a fabulous week in Birch class. 

We have completed a DT project all about sewing. We have made designed, made and evaluated Christmas hand puppets.

In English we have completed our writing for Meerkat Mail. We wrote letters pretending to be Sunny having a trip to Carr Mill! Mrs Wilson-Briars was very impressed with our writing in our star write books.

In Maths we have continued out work on multiplication. We have looked at arrays and repeated addition. On Thursday we were also introduced to the 'x' symbol.

Friday was so much fun. We all took part in the Christmas welly walk. Our costumes were excellent, and we had the best time on the field taking part in games, telling jokes, singing and dancing.

Next week is the final week of our autumn term. We will be completing lots of Christmas activities, making cards, Christmas decorations and colouring fun. It is also our party day and nativity on Monday. There will be so much fun to be had! In English we will be writing Christmas poetry and will use our maths sessions to complete our multiplication work.
