Chestnut Summer 1 Week 5

In English we have planned and written a retell of the story of Bog Baby. The children have really enjoyed reading this book.

In maths, Year 1 have started a new unit of work on fractions - identifying half of a shape and an amount. Reception have been learning about doubling and halving.

We have continued our science topic about Amazing Animals looking at which animals are carnivores, herbivores or omnivores.

In music we have started a new unit of work - Inventing a Musical Story. We listened and appraised songs and also used instruments to accompany our music.
