This week in nursery has been lots of fun! We spent time reading the story The Ugly Duckling, talking about what happened in the story and how the characters felt. The children loved acting out the story together and then making their own ugly ducklings using different materials. As part of the whole school Maths Week, our focus was money. We enjoyed singing Five Currant Buns and the children had lots of turns buying and selling buns, which helped them learn about money through play. We also explored weighing different objects around the classroom and talked about whether they were heavy or light, using lots of new vocabulary while we learned.
