Seedlings Summer 2 Week 1

What a lovely week we've had in Nursery!

We have been learning about dinosaurs, and the topic has been very popular with the children. We even made dinosaur fossils using salt dough and pasta shapes to create the bones. The children really enjoyed being palaeontologists and exploring how fossils are made.

In Maths, we have been learning about the number 7, as well as revisiting the different parts of 6. We each had 6 stones and dropped them onto a hard surface. We talked about how the stones fell and what parts we could see within the number 6. The children were very confident and could explain their thinking, saying things such as, “I can see a 2, a 2 and another 2.”

On Friday, we enjoyed our Stay and Play session. It was lovely to welcome our parents into Nursery and share some of our learning with you. Thank you to everyone who came along and joined us.
