This week we have been learning all about Bonfire Night and the importance of keeping safe. Our most exciting moment was definitely the visit from the fire engine! We got the chance to spray the hose and talk to the firefighters about how they help keep people safe in our community. The children were full of curiosity and asked some brilliant questions.

Our main story of the week was “Firefighter Pete the Cat”, which the children really enjoyed. In maths, we continued to practise our subitising skills to 3 (recognising an amount without counting).

We also had lots of fun making edible sparklers using breadsticks, melted chocolate and sprinkles—very tasty and very sparkly!
