Spring 2 Week 2

This week in nursery we have been talking about our mums as we get ready to celebrate Mother’s Day. We discussed how special our mums are, how they help us, and all the things we love about them. The children enjoyed sharing their ideas about why their mums are so important.

We have been busy making Mother’s Day cards and creating beautiful paintings of our mums. The children looked carefully at photographs and thought hard about which colours to use to represent their mums. They were very proud of their artwork!

During story time we read Mummies Promise, which helped us talk about all the wonderful things mums do for us and the ways they show they care.

On Thursday we celebrated World Book Day by creating our own pop-up books. We also had a lovely visit from Willow Class, who came to read with us. It was such a special experience to share stories together.

The children looked fantastic in their costumes – well done everybody!
